Look at these smiles!

DCP_2593
Beaver Stadium, before sunset.

DCP_2592
Everyone chats it up.

DCP_2597
A side shot as the car pulls out of stall #49.

DCP_2595
Kathy is also in good spirits here.

DCP_2601
The staging grounds were full of color as the sun set on the fields east of Porter Road.

DCP_2594
April takes a picture of Steve taking a picture.

DCP_2596
Ada professes her love for... well, everyone in the entire club.

DCP_2602
The activity increased as the first floats began rolling out towards the start of the parade.

DCP_2603
Ada, as usual, looks way TOO happy in this picture.

DCP_2599
Everyone sets up the car to leave.

DCP_2604
A wide shot of the fraternities' and sororities' area.

DCP_2598
Does anyone know what this picture is of?

DCP_2605
The club races to catch up with its insane driver as he plows through the mud.

DCP_2606
This slightly blurred image shows the speaker system setup in the back of the car, covered in coats and other paraphenelia.

DCP_2607
A high school marching band stands ready.

DCP_2608
Another high school marching band.

DCP_2609
More shots of dancers walking towards Porter Road.

DCP_2610
The Altoona Area High School Marching Band.

DCP_2611
Suddenly and without warning, everyone breaks out dancing, even though the club hasn't yet reached the parade route.

DCP_2612
Brian (right) is still a little nervous about dancing, but his fears quickly dissapate as the club reaches the parade route.

DCP_2613
Beaver Stadium looms in the background, lit up in preparation for the Homecoming game against Iowa the following day that Penn State lost 6-4.

DCP_2614
A picture taken in front of the car as it enters the parade route to adoring fans.

DCP_2616
The "Swinging Lions" banner proudly advertises the club's interest.

DCP_2617
Onlookers gasp at the amazing dancing just feet in front of them.

DCP_2619
The parade drew a lot of families, especially in the less crowded areas closer to the stadium.

DCP_2620
As the parade went on, some dancers became tired and had to rest by walking behind the car.

DCP_2621
Along Shortlidge Road, the crowds thickened and the dancing grew more frantic.

DCP_2623
Switching drivers was a challenging maneuver that Brian mastered, as you can see here.

DCP_2624
Hmmm, I wonder who this is?

DCP_2625
April and Jason showed everyone else up as they Lindy Hopped down the steep hill.

DCP_2626
As you can see in this blurred picture, a member of the fraternity behind the club joined in.

DCP_2627
People lined every deck of the HUB parking deck.

DCP_2628
They were moving so quickly that pictures couldn't be taken fast enough!

DCP_2629
As the club approached College Avenue, a few members took it upon themselves to run to the edges of the crowd and yell "We Are!"

DCP_2631
In front of Atherton Hall, people stood six or seven deep.

DCP_2632
Otta's one millisecond in this awkward position will live for eternity in this picture.

DCP_2633
Steve Sokolowski took over the driving on College Avenue, and this is the view from inside the car.

DCP_2634
Perhaps this fraternity brother had a few too many before the parade began.

DCP_2635
Another picture of the crowds outside the car.

DCP_2636
Throwing candy from floats was banned for the first time in 2004, so these children were disappointed that they received no treats.

DCP_2637

DCP_2638
Here, the procession reached Pugh Street.

DCP_2639
Are you sure that's water?

DCP_2640
Another ugly car picture of the approaching judges' stand at the corner of College and Allen.

DCP_2641
Graydon randomly pulled a "security girl" from the crowd. While she pretended to be unwilling to dance, other (blurry) pictures show that she was smiling the whole time until the car passed out of view.

DCP_2642
Now all the security guards cowered in fear.

DCP_2643
Kim was recruited by Brian to perform an aerial he wanted to try. While the picture of her in the air was too blurry, here she's being pulled in in preparation for the stunt.

DCP_2644
The crowds in front of the judges' stand.

DCP_2645
More crowds.

DCP_2646
The dancing continued along Burrowes Road.

DCP_2647
8500 people attended Michael Moore's speech at the Bryce Jordan Center.

DCP_2648
Michael Moore was over 45 minutes late as a result of a half hour of circling to avoid heavy traffic at the airport.
