Bosses vs. players

Ultimate Paintball makes distinctions between two classes of avatars:  bot bosses, and paintball players.  Note that any boss can play the game and participate in all game actions, but that players cannot perform the actions of a boss unless promoted to that position by the bot's host.

Bosses can be promoted or demoted with the Boss List dialog box, accessible from the program screen:

To add a boss to the list, enter the boss's citizen name in the text box and click "Add."  To remove a boss from the list, highlight the appropriate name and click "Remove."

Bosses are permitted access to special commands dealing with high-level game functions as detailed on the verbal commands page.  In addition, bosses receive notification each time a new player enters any world in the network.
