Core Regulations

In order to eliminate some of the confusion over AWTeen's policies and to prevent recurring votes, Brant is in the process of compiling a list of all Core votes that were passed since July 19, 2001. These votes affect many of the world's policies and how the Core conducts business. Currently, the only votes listed are those taken after November 7, 2001. Votes listed in green passed and are now in effect; votes listed in red were defeated.

A description of the committee system is available on the Committees page. Any questions or perceived discrepencies should be E-Mailed to awteen@shoemakervillage.org for correction.

22	AWTeen Restructuring Policy	12-10-01	Brant	[Not voted]		This vote was imposed by Brant in accordance with the original Committee system charter, which states that he may overrule or impose any Core vote when actions would be contrary to guidelines imposed by Lucrezia Borgia or Mountain Myst. The policy includes the following: -The rating of the world will remain G, and no further discussion will be held in the AWTeen newsgroups or at public meetings -Public speakers may not use inappropriate language of ANY sort, even if use of such language is not an ejectable offense. -The "three strikes" rule passed by the Core in July 2001 remains in effect - if a Core or committee member uses any such language on three separate instances within a month, he or she will automatically be removed from his or her current position without debate -All members with eject or eminent domain must be trained by Chanty, regardless of position or use of rights -The AWTeen Patrol will take a more active stance in enforcing AWTeen's language and behavior policies -As the behavior of Core members reflects upon Brant, only he may propose a member for acceptance into the Core, and only he may begin rights votes

This system is advantageous because any member of the public may post in the public newsgroup, and Core members will review the newsgroup for new ideas periodically. Brant will prepare a charter and put it up for voting; the newsgroups would most likely become active around Thanksgiving.

Any member can suggest a name for the blacklist b.) A normal vote will add or remove a name from the list along with its provisions c.) A section would be maintained for people who do good as well as bad d.) The negative part of the blacklist would be binding in that a Core vote must be instituted to get someone removed from the blacklist before he or she is able to be hired; the positive part would be used only as a guide for hiring e.) The job of maintaining the blacklist falls to the Secretaries' Committee f.) There will be three categories: a permanent addition, which excludes a person from holding any job in the Core or on a committee, and from hosting events or winning prize; a less severe category that excludes a person from holding any job in the Core or committees but allowing them to help out with minor events and win prizes; and a temporary listing - can take the form of either one of the above categories but expires on a certain date.
