Terrorist Attack
Statement
Dear fellow citizens:
On Tuesday, the world was befallen by a terrible tragedy that deeply
affected the hearts of billions. Around the globe, millions
mourned those killed or injured in the catastrophe in New York,
Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC. On behalf of all visitors to
AWTeen, we offer condolences to those whose friends or loved ones were
affected by this horrific act.
Many events around the nation have been canceled
as a result of these attacks, mainly as a result of transportation and
safety concerns.
However, while everyone must mourn the dead and
plan for a better future, normal life must eventually resume. The
terrorists who planned these vicious attacks did so in the hopes that
their actions would disrupt everyday life for citizens of the United
States and everyone around the world.
In light of these realizations, it has been
decided that all AWTeen events, including the AW History Tournament
and the AW SURVIVOR Challenge IV: Moon Marooned, scheduled for the
weekend of September 14-16, will continue as planned. We hope
that for many, the chance to have fun and socialize with other citizens
will be a welcome diversion to the events that now transpire around the
world.
We hope to see you at our AW History Tournament
on Friday, September 14, at 9PM VRT, and at the AW SURVIVOR Challenge
IV: Moon Marooned on Saturday, September 15, beginning at 1PM VRT!
Sincerely,
The AWTeen Core |
