The Tomb of the Unknown World

Matthew Care began writing The Tomb of the Unknown World in May 1998. After only one chapter, the novel was cancelled for reasons that Matthew never disclosed. As you probably have also noticed, Matthew stepped down from his Assistant Editor's position, citing "lack of motivation" as his reason for relinquishing his duties. Though Matthew is no longer involved in the Village, you can still read the beginnings of what could have become a great novel online.

The Tomb of the Unknown World features John Barret, a commander of one of the last remaining armies left on Earth, who must attempt to save the planet from annhilation.
